The Buffalo Bills surprised everyone at the start of last season with a 5-1 record to start the season but they struggled late and finished with a poor 7-9 record and once again missed the playoffs. The running game was unable to get things going and both JP Losman and Trent Edwards were unable to step in and become team leading quarterbacks. The defence struggled to be consistent and eventually fell short later in the season. However, things are starting to look up for the seemingly always struggling Bills, and this could be the year that they turn the corner.

The biggest news out of Buffalo was the addition of star wide receiver Terrell Owens. There is hopes that the deep threat Owens provides could be enough to help Trent Edwards lead the team and turn into the quarterback the team hopes he can be. With the likes of Lee Evans and Terrell Owens sprinting down the sidelines opposing defences could be in trouble this year.

One of the keys this year looks to be the addition of the no huddle offence. If Marshawn Lynch is healthy and Dominic Rhodes can fill in every few plays, this could be one of the teams to watch in 2009.
