Pittsburgh Steelers May Kick Some Players To The Curb

Mike TomlinThe Pittsburgh Steelers are now a losing streak that they haven't seen since way back in 2003 when they lost five in a row and coach Mike Tomlin may be getting rid of some more players because of it. When they face Cleveland on Thursday, there will be changes to the line up due to what Tomlin calls a pattern of behavior that is totally unacceptable. This isn't the usual process for the Super Bowl Champions, but this four game losing streak is apparently hitting the head coach hard and he's going to take it out on his team with an eraser.

Tomlin spoke out on Monday calling his team average and even going as far to say that might be putting too fine a point on it. He said that there is definitely going to be some changes to the lineup after the improbably 27-24 loss that was handed to them by the Raiders in Sunday's game. William Gay is expected to be one of those erased names, replaced by Joe Burnett. Gay is out with a concussion that came from Sunday's game. Also, Keenan Lewis and defensive end Ziggy Hood may end up on the field for the Browns.

Tomlin has seen the last three seasons do pretty well and didn't worry about an 18-12 loss to Cincinnati, or two wins in Overtime for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. However, the Raider should have been a gimme, with four wins and eight losses this season so far. Tomlin went on to suggest that when a team is losing as bad as the Steelers are, that being on the team a long time doesn't mean as much as it should, nor does team loyalty. He said that the game, as well as players and coaching is “ever changing”
