Tennessee Titans Outplay Buffalo Bills in the Hall of Fame Game

Kerry CollinsThe Hall of Fame game kicked off the preseason in the NFL on Sunday and one team showed that they are much better prepared. The Tennessee Titans beat the Buffalo Bills by a score of 21-18 but the score was not reflective of the actual game. Kerry Collinswas on his game for the Titans while the Bills looked sluggish, unprepared and almost lost at times. Tennessee put a lot of faith into Collins this year after signing him to a new two year contract and he showed that he is more than capable of leading the team.

Terrell Owens debut for the Bills was the background story and the receiver was almost invisible for most of the game. The Bills begin training camp a full two weeks before the Titans but did not show any signs of really coming together on the field. The same could be said about Tennessee backup QB Vince Young. Young was unable to produce very much after taking over for Collins. He started out throwing 1 for 5 with an interception but eventually settled down a little and threw a touchdown pass.

If this game is a preview of the season then Bills fans have to be disappointed. We all know that preseason is not the be all and end all, but the Bills looked very dull and unprepared. They were hoping that Trent Edwards and Terrell Owens would mesh right away and make big things happen but that was not the case on Sunday. They are really going to have to go back to the drawing board and make a new plan if they want to be competitive on the year.

Tennessee on the other hand looked like they were in mid season form and are prepared to get the real season underway. If they can keep up this style of play then the Titans could be a contending playoff team and the Collins signing would look like a brilliant plan.
