Tom Brady and Michael Vick will be starters for the 2011 Pro Bowl. Vick, quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, was out for two entire seasons why he served a sentence in Federal custody for dogfighting. He returns to the NFC in the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 30th. Vick was present at three Pro Bowls when he was Atlanta until being suspended by the league and then sent to jail for his role in a dogfighting ring. He has gone from being a backup that was hardly every used to being the leading passer in the NFC.
Atlanta leads the NFC right now with a 12-3 record and did have the most Pro Bowlers for a total of seven, including receiver Roddy White, and defensive end John Abraham as well as QB Matt Ryan. As for New England, who stands 13-2 right now, and leads the AFC, they had six Pro Bowlers, the first of which was quarterback Tom Brady, who is the top passer in the league and will be making his sixth trip to that game – if that is, the Patriots don't make it into the Superbowl instead. The game will be played on Sunday before the game at Cowboy's Stadium.
The Baltimore Ravens, the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys had five players as well, that were voted into the Pro Bowl by other players, coaches and fans. Also there were four rookies that were chosen, including DT Ndamukong Suh of Detroit, Cornerback Deven McCourty of the Pats and Marc Mariana of Tennessee as well as Pittsburgh Center Maurkice Pouncey. DeSean Jackson, Jason Peters and Asante Samuel from the Eagles were also chosen as well as placekicker David Akers for the Pro Bowl.
