The second week of the NFL season will get underway this weekend as the Carolina Panthers take on the Atlanta Falcons live right here on WatchLiveNFL. The Falcons got out to a great start last week against Miami while the Panthers really need to turn it around after a very poor showing against the Philadelphia Eagles live.

The last time these two teams met Michael Turner took over the game and lead Atlanta to an impressive 45-28 win last year. Overall the two teams each have 5 wins against each other in 10 meetings.

In his last two games Jake Delhomme has managed to fumble the ball twice and throw a very disappointing 9 interceptions. He was benched in week 1 and will need to turn things around soon or he will lose his starting job. The panthers recently signed A.J Feeley and will not hesitate to turn to him if Delhomme struggles early on this week.

For Atlanta all eyes will once again be on how well Tony Gonzalez can work the middle of the field. Matt Ryan found his new target a number of times last week against the Dolphins and Gonzalez should be able to get open quite often against the lacklustre Panthers defence. If Ryan can get the offence going and John Abraham can provide a lot of pressure onto Jake Delhomme then this could be a very long day for the entire Carolina team.
