On Sunday, October 2nd, the fourth week of the NFL will continue with the last of nine matches played at 1:00PM. This one is at Soldier Field between the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears. Back in 2006, the Bears ended up in the Superbowl, with Ron Rivera running the defense, and now he comes back to Soldier Field to take over coaching the Panthers. Rivera actually played for the Bears for nine years before taking over as defensive coordinator in 2004. He has started off well for Carolina, with a 16 to 10 win over Jacksonville last weekend.
The Bears are currently ranked 31st and have an average of 53.7 yards rushing for each game. They are also tied for the largest amount of sacks allowed. Tackle Gabe Carimi is out of the game with a knee injury, unfortunate, as he was the top pick of the team in the draft, and Lance Louis is injured as well, with an ankle problem. While Louis will probably play Sunday, Carimi will be out for a while.
