Sunday 23rd October 20:05 - 23:05 GMT
The Oakland Raiders take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:05PM at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on Sunday, October 23rd at 4:05PM. There are twelve games to be played that day, and one on Monday. This game is after the long list of 1:00PM games in Week Seven of the NFL. Carson Palmer may not have met the expectations of his team when he was drafted first overall in 2003, but the Oakland Raiders have added him to their team anyway, and he could be on the field for the first time when they face the Chiefs on Sunday.

Oakland is doing great this season, with a record of 4-2, their best start since 2002, which is also the last time that the team got to the playoffs and made it to the Superbowl. However, last Sunday saw Jason Campbell break his collarbone when the team played Cleveland last Sunday. They won 24 to 17 but will be without him heading into Week Seven. The Kansas City Chiefs are on the warpath and headed to Oakland Coliseum where they will face the Oakland Raiders this Sunday, November 7th for Week 9 of the NFL season. The Chiefs rule the AFC West with a 5 - 2 season so far and the number 1 ranked rushing game in the league thanks largely to RB Jamaal Charles with his 666 yards on a 6.5 yard per carry average and 2 TDs to prove he is definitely the beast his opponents do not want to mess with. The Raiders are now 4 - 4 after the massive 30 point stomping they gave the Seahawks last week and if they can keep up the work with their amazing RB Darren McFadden at 668 yards with a 5.5 rushing average and 4 TDs they may just go the rest of this season brutalizing every team they go up against. The Kansas City Chiefs have an incredibly gifted and often overlooked WR in Dwayne Bowie who is averaging 17 yards a catch for 357 yards this season and 6 TDs that make them a double threat other teams had better try to dodge. The Oakland Raiders have their QB Jason Campbell in for QB Bruce Gradkowksi and he is performing well for them with 1,023 yards thrown for half a dozen TDs that prove this team is deadly business on the ball field. Last time the KC Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders got together on the field JaMarcus Russell was the man of the hour as he led the Raiders into a 13-10 win back in week 2 of the regular season. Oakland has three out of four but is behind KC in the overall 53-4-2. In last week's games Oakland got themselves a bye but the Jaguars beat KC 24-21 even with some last minute action from the Chiefs. So for Oakland we need to keep an eye on JaMarcus Russell who is in his third year at the helm and he's recovering from a bye so hopefully he will be rested up as well as the rest of the team. The pass rushers for Oakland including Richard Seymour, Greg Ellis and Tommy Kelly. However they have to contend with the record of going up against Kansas City at home. Because the Kansas City Chiefs have beaten the Raiders six times in a row when they travel to Oakland. So Oakland will have to overcome that confidence to win.

This is also the first time since 2002 that the Chiefs have played without Larry Johnson. Instead Jamaal Charles and Kolby Smith for the 2009 season. Also, quarterback for Kansas City, Matt Cassel is 7-4 in away games as a starter. Kansas City has a defense that is ranked 30th. This is going to be a terrific game with two teams that are going to fight for the points on the field this Sunday.
