The Giant's Stadium is the venue for this week eight game featuring home team the New York Jets who will be hosting the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 1^st. The Dolphins were AFC East Champions last year and the New York Jets had three wins at the beginning of the season and then three losses, followed by one more win which brings them to 4-3. So, last year's AFC East Champs were either lucky or just more motivated because this year they haven't done nearly as well as they did then. They lost to Atlanta at the beginning of the season, and then followed that by another loss – this time at home – to Indianapolis, which was soon followed by another loss to San Diego. Miami started the season with Chad Pennington at the helm, but he was out with a shoulder injury in week three and Chad Henne took his place, but only completing sixty percent of his passes.

As for the Jets they also started with three straight wins, a trend that seems to be quite common this season with a lot of teams, one of those at Houston and then two home wins. Then, another common trend, three losses in a row, to Miami, New Orleans and then getting beat at home when the Buffalo Bills came to visit.
