The New Orleans Saints play the Oakland Raiders this weekend. This is the third week of the preseason for the current NFL matches and the game happens on Sunday, August 28^th. This is the only game this Sunday, which is unusual, but the previous day is jam packed with ten different NFL preseason matches. The Saints and Raiders play in California at the O.co Coliseum, with the game starting at 8:00PM. Some of the Saturday games including New Yorks Jets and New York Giants, and the Falcons taking on the Steelers.

The New Orleans Saints are one for one right now after losing to Houston 27 to 14. They are still sitting in the top spot in the NFC South though, with Carolina also touting a one for one record and sitting in second. Oakland had a poor showing against the 49ers on Saturday, losing 17 to 3 and now in third with a record of 0 for 2 in the AFC West Championship Standings. This is going to be a big season for the both the New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders and this preseason game could go a long way into showing how ready they are to compete. New Orleans is expected to do big things this year as their young stars should be stepping up and Drew Brees should lead the way. On the other hand the Raiders are hoping to turn things around this year after some big spending in the off season. For Saints fans all eyes will definitely be on Reggie Bush in this game as he is expected to really break out this year and lead the way. Bush missed their last pre season game against the Houston Texans but is expected to shoulder a very big load against Oakland in hopes of being fully fit and ready for the live NFL season. If Bush cannot carry the whole workload then Mike Bell should be ready to step in after he gained 100 yards and scored a touchdown last week against Houston.

This week Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable finally made a decision on his starting quarterback and gave the nod to young JaMarcus Russell. Raiders fans will be looking closely at Russell and if he fails to step up then Cable may be quick to make the move to veteran Jeff Garcia. However if Russell plays anything like he did last week than he should be just fine as he went 7 for 11 with 76 yards passing with a touchdown. This could be the year Russell breaks out which would be huge news for the Raiders and their fans.
