Click here to Watch Oakland Raiders v Houston Texans Live
Sunday 9th October 17:00 - 20:00 GMT
On Sunday, October 9th the Oakland Raiders head to the South and take on the Houston Texans in a week five game of the regular season. Oakland coach Hue Jackson said that his team will win the AFC West this year, and the team is battling under that promise, having to live up to it. The Texans aren't backing down however, either. They are playing without wide receiver Andre Johnson this Sunday, as they All Pro is out with an injury and it should be a very interesting game for both sides which are in the AFC West and AFC South respectively.

The Raiders are currently sitting on two wins and two losses after last week's loss to New England that ended 31 to 19. The team hasn't won more than eight games since their 11-5 record in 2002, when they appeared in the Superbowl. Houston's record right now is 3-1 and they are tied with the Tennessee Titans for the lead spot in the AFC South. Jamarcus Russell and the Oakland Raiders will stroll into Houston on Sunday October 4th determined to turn their season around. If there is any team that should give the Raiders a chance for the first win it is definitely the Houston Texans. While these two teams may not be the most electrifying in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans live game is going to be one that is full of action as both teams are desperate to crawl out of their respective division basements. It will all go down live right here this weekend on WatchLiveNFL.

While no one expected the Raiders to compete for the Super Bowl this year, there was a lot of hope that Darren McFadden and Jamarcus Russell could finally turn this hard luck franchise around. So far it just has not happened. Many are calling Russell the worst thing to ever happen to the Raiders and he needs to step up his game before he loses his starting job.

It finally appears that the Texans offence might be starting to turn things around thanks to the emergence of a newly confident Matt Schaub. The problem is that the defence seems to have more holes than a block of stinky Swiss cheese. The Texans sure can score, and they should be able to against the Raiders, but if they let McFadden run on them the way that Jones-Drew did last week this could be a very long game
