The Pittsburgh Steelers face off against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, January 1^st at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Week Seventeen. This is the finale game of the regular season of the NFL for these two teams and the Pittsburgh Steelers just played a game without Ben Roethlisberger and did just fine, but the quarterback says that he will play at the finale game with Cleveland. The Steelers are on the verge of getting a first round bye if they can beat Cleveland, as well as a few other things. If not, they have to win three away games to play in the Superbowl.

The Steelers are eleven and four right now and the Cleveland Browns are four and eleven. Cleveland obviously is not in any danger of losing a spot to the playoffs, but they will try to make things difficult for the Steelers. Roethlisberger ended up out with an injury, a familiar story for the Browns as they saw Colt McCoy take a shot to the head in the first meeting between these two teams. The big story for the Steelers has been the emergence of Mike Wallace as a real deep threat to compliment the stability of Hines Ward and the fact that Ben Roethlisberger has really stepped up after his 6 game suspension. There was no doubt that the defense was going to be able to shut opposing teams down but this all around offense has really put a number of games away for the team this year. They are the type of team that no one really wants to play, and that will be true for the Browns this weekend as well.

For the Browns, it has been an up and down season in a number of ways. Early on it looked like Colt McCoy was the next big thing in Cleveland but he has not been able to build on things later on in the season. On the same note Peyton Hillis emerged as an absolute all-star early on in the season but really has slowed up as of late and has not really looked like the same running back.
