St Louis Rams v Washington Redskins Live

The times have changed for the Rams and the days of the Greatest Show on Turf are long over. The team now seems to struggle week in and week out to compete and they will have a tough time again this weekend against the Washington Redskins. Washington needs a win however, after a demoralizing loss to the New York Giants thanks to a slow start last week.

However, there is hope for the Rams seeing as their new coach, Steve Spagnuolo, has always been able to give the Redskins real trouble when he coached for the Giants. His priority this week will be to confuse Jason Campbell, shut down Clinton Portis and do his beat to ensure that players like Donnie Avery cannot break free for long passes.

The key for the Redskins will be how well Albert Haynesworth can lead the team`s pass rush. Last week the team was unable to pressure Eli Manning enough and they will have to be much better this weekend, and it all starts with Haynesworth. The Rams offensive line has struggled for quite some time and the Redskins should be able to pressure Marc Bulger quite a bit.

St. Louis will be hoping that Steven Jackson can lead the team and open up the field a little more. In 3 games against Washington, Jackson has compiled a total of 405 yards from scrimmage and will be looking to do the same this weekend. If he can break free and the team can shut down Portis, they will be in a good position to win.
