The Washington Redskins and New York Giants will battle it out on Sunday December 5^th in a game featuring two teams that are heading in opposite directions. The Giants are sitting comfortably in second place and look to have all the talent to once again head deep into the playoffs, while the Redskins have started to fall up short in a number of games back to back. With losses to the Vikings and the Eagles in the past two weeks, Donovan McNabb will need to be at his best to try and help his team bounce back. However, you know that Eli Manning and the New York Giants will not make that an easily accomplished task.

There were a lot of rumours swirling that Donovan McNabb would not be kept around Washington after this season, but he recently signed a contract extension and will be given every opportunity to make the Skins a better team. However, the injuries at the running back position to the likes of Clinton Portis has left the team relying on rookies and backups. McNabb will need to be at his very best against the tough Giants team if he wants to take the Redskins to the playoffs.

Eli Manning has not quite been at his best every week this season but he really has not had to be. With players like Mario Manningham and Kevin Boss stepping up to make highlight reel plays and a defense that can pretty much always be relied on, the Giants are a very tough team to play week in and week out. The last time that these two teams met Eli Manning was at his best as he threw for 305 yards and the Giants walked all over the Redskins last year by a score of 23-7.
